Earlier Z wheel in later Z forks?

#1 PostAuthor: RALPHARAMA » Fri Dec 07, 2012 3:11 pm

Will early front wheels with 4 mounting hole discs fit later GPZ type forks? Anyone tried this ?

If it works I will be in the market for a wheel and discs :D

no the early type wheels have 6203 wheel bearings + gpz have 6302 bearings which are 2mm bigger outside measurement + have a bigger wheel spindle

the easiest way would be to get your original wheel spindle machined down to 15mm which is the size of the internal diameter of the older type wheel bearings .i think the z1100 spindle is 17mm in diameter
