   There were some nicely machined spacers fitted to accommodate the AP calipers - blind as a bat here did not see them tucked behind both discs.
That said I am amazed it freed up the requisite space needed: but it did and the standards calipers fit a treat.

Now just have to sort out the hoses that Hel sent me :?? :??

HEL - managed to send me 3 hoses all the wrong length. Top too short, bottom two about 150mm too long ? Glad you have your calipers sorted.

Tonto have you got Z900 high bars ?

Z1000 A1 / A2 have slightly lower bars and you asked for brake hoses to suit a Z1000 A2 !

Adrian: same for me - all hoses are at least 180mm too long and bottom ones have wrong banjo's

Twozeds - my Z900 has high bars but A2 forks, calipers etc. and does defo need the longer 390mm top hose (as you say I think the lower bars use 360mm): I actually found an email from me to Hel asking if the set top hose was 390mm - oh yes said Hel - its more like 500mm.

I'll be chatting with Hel on Monday AM

It was a "hel" of a fight but I finally managed to get my refurbed disks, calipers, splitter etc etc on my Zed. Dealing with Hel Brakes has been a less than pleasant experience: first I got wrong hoses, then they sent me the correct hoses but wrong banjo bolts   They will always be known "Fecking Hel" to me

I honestly cant believe what a nightmare this simple job turned out to be :ghostface :ghostface but also how nice it is to finally have warp free front brakes, shame she wasn't ready for Skeggy.
