I'm quite interested in competing in this event next year... perhaps the Z1OC could run a challenge for the fastest, Z1, Z900, Z1000, Z1R etc etc on the sand??

Anyone else up for it?

I was there!
The organisers did a great job of bringing together racers from all parts of the country,so well done on that front. :D

Who ever organised the stuff in regard to spectators get a 0/10 im afraid!
Over the course of the few days I drove 1100 miles in total, and now wished Id just stayed at home.

We were positioned on a short promenade above the beach, with the startline being (guessing length?)about 1/4mile away in the distance. You needed binoclears to see the finish line. The staging/waiting area where the bikes waited to run was about 200ft away from us,and even after paying extra for pit access were not allowed anywhere near.
Sorry, but it wasnt for me,even after the exciting wait from the announcement back in January (when I even booked 4 nights hotel accom).
Everybody is saying what a great event it was,but speaking to a lot of spectators,I and others would say something different.
