VJMC Japfest - Haynes Motor Museum, Sparkford, Somerset 15/9

#1 PostAuthor: Nosher903 » Thu Sep 05, 2013 2:52 pm

Big meet on in the South West which appears to have slipped under our radar unless I'm mistaken.

This is a copy & paste of the info posted on the gpz900 site -

Taunton and Bridgwater section of the VJMC are holding a Classic Bike Japfest at Haynes Motor Museum, Sparkford, Somerset. On September 15th 2013 and we would like to invite you as a club or as individuals to exhibit or attend. It is a one day show but does have free camping for all exhibitors, the only criteria being is that the bikes must be of Japanese origin and at least fifteen years old.

This is a professional show and all the bikes will be housed inside the museum, and if successful in it’s first year we will be building on it to make it bigger each time.

You nor or club has to be a member of the VJMC.

It would be a pleasure to have your club ''invade'' us, eithier showing or just visiting.

For all exhibitors you will also have free entry to Haynes Motor Museum which houses the largest collection of classic cars in the country.

For full details and entry forms please go to http://www.japfest.net/ or contact me with any queries at nick@japfest.net

We hope you will attend and look forward to meeting you.

Kindest regards

Nick Watson

Clubs that have currently confirmed that they will be attending are:

The VJMC.
The Aircooled RD Club.
The Kawasaki Triples Club.

Been looking forward to this for quite a while, there's been quite a buzz down here about it, be a good show I reckon.
We are staying the night local to have a full day there, it's a shame I won't make it on my Z1000A1 due to running issues, but the ZRX is 15 years old this month!

:)

Anyone got any pics?

I would have liked to attend this, but due to previous commitments couldn't even make The Lower Lode.

Nick W, once you have an Idea of what's happening next year, let us know, and we can take it from there.

A very big success as regards to bike entries and public admissions, just doing a bit of number crunching now and hopefully be on again next year but bigger and better with more to see.
I'll keep you posted and thank you to all that attended, it meant a lot.

We had a great weekend, good ride up and night in the pub, the venue was perfect, very good turn out, the quality of bikes were a credit to the owners.

Thanks :P
