Help needed either with borrowing this tool or advice on how to do the job without it. I cant get at it cos 2nd gear is in the way. ^^

Yeah fair enough suggestion, would it have to be a kawa dealer or just any shop worth their salt.....

I like farming out if it means i an make some good progress towards putting the bugger back together again.

a Kawasaki dealer would have the tool as part of their workshop equipment but i would imagine a lesser bike shop would have something equivalent. i have the tool but it is quite heavy & would cost a few quid to get it to you
