It would seem that our best plan is to wait at the ferry port exit for Scott.

We should have enough time for a fuel stop before waiting for his ferry to dock.

We can then get going.

received this email.
does this affect us TLC
Overnight works on the M20 from 16th August until early September (20:00 – 06:00 GMT)

The Highways Agency will be carrying out overnight works on the M20 main carriageways, coast bound, and will result in a full closure of the motorway between junctions 5 and 7. This will take place from 16th August until early September (please note that work will not be carried out from 22 - 25 August due to the bank holiday period).

There will be a fully signed diversion route to our Folkestone Terminal via the distributor road at junction 5 to exit the M20 at Junction 6. Road users will then be diverted off to join the A229, the M2 at junction 3 and continue on to junction 5 and to join the A249 coast bound and rejoin the M20 at junction 7.

Please allow extra time for your journey to accomodate for these closures, and we look forward to welcoming you on board.

Paul. I had envisaged those of us travelling down the M1 to meet at Shell Hemel Hempstead at 6.00.
That gives us 2 hours to get to Folkestone.

More than enough time diversion or not. Although it says the closures will be finished by the time we go through.

Bill and Garth can meet us at the station.

I have done several European rallies in the past, all Dutch.

Ted and myself met them at the docks when they came over to the Blackpool rally, looking forward to seeing them again.
