Fitting Tarozzi rearsets on a Z1000

Your last photo shows you trying to put the gear link rod into the brake side......I have instructions for assembly if you don't? have you mixed the bits up?

pretty sure thats the brake side bits - had all been assembled by seller - but suppose they could have done it wrong, but doubt it, just need to look at his projects, quite good with spanners.

if you're able scan and send me instructions at least I could check.

looking at your pictures you could be confusing yourself cos they are assembled wrong this is what you should have





you may have to "tweek" the push rod arm clevis to Master Cylinder to get it to run smooth, notice there are washers to fit into the casting recess holes for the mounting nuts to sit on also the brake cantilever arrangement may need some adjustment to get it to run smoothly sorry if this all sounds condescending but the exploded diagram may help if you aint got it

02-0077 is the brake rod....has a domed top, I used my existing one as it wasn't in the kit I got

look at that drawing I'm missing some bits which would explain why it doesn't look like it will fit and why it looks like the gear side

looks like the main part I'm missing is 01 0012 and all the bits that bolt to it - back to the seller, see if he has them

tarozzis are model specific
01-0012 is for a z1000/z1r
you said this kit was bought for a z900
there are 2 z900 kits neither have 01-0012.

Haven't done anything with them since this - got distracted with 1 of my daugthers cars problem.

Yep, reckon the best thing would be to sell them on and buy a Z1000 kit, rather than trying to get the separate parts to make this a Z1000 kit.

They are not in box, but are un-used - bought from a club member for his project, but he changed his plans and as you know I haven't been able to fit them to use them.

Can’t remember what I paid for them – they are around £230 new – fancy making me an offer via PM?
