Tacho Not Working

Chaps, what's the most likely cause of the tacho not working on my Z1B? It stays at around 2500 revs. The cable has been renewed but this didn't sort it.

Also, will there counter drive gear from a 900A4 fit a Z1B as there's one on eBay at the mo.

Same drive gear. Is yours damaged? If not I would say the clock needs repairing.
