just found this on another forum it beggars belief what some idiots get up to when doing a restoration

Took the frame into work to be prepared, as part of there course the P & D students need to strip and prep metal

Well after a litre of paint stripper nothing was budging. I think it must be stove enamel.so drastic measures called for
cue handy fire cooked at gas mark 5 turning every 10 seconds
