ALARM

#1 PostAuthor: AlanB » Sat Mar 11, 2017 4:55 pm

Hi all - Thinking of getting an alarm/immobiliser fitted to my 79 z1000 - Any advice would be appreciated ie any suggested makes Ie Datatool, Meta etc ? what about a tracker ? - Aware cost plays a part here but not sure how easy they are to fit to a 79 bike and where do the components get located given bike has nearly 40 year old electrics etc ? Thanks anyway.

shouldn't be a problem you would have to house the alarm control unit in the tail piece as there isnt any other place to fit it on old machines. check the dimensions before you buy to make sure it will fit in the tail piece. straight forward to fit you will have an earth/ live / switched live/ on basic alarm obviously more complex if you have a alarm/ immobilizer
