74 Z1-A for sale Now provisionally sold

#1 PostAuthor: corky » Fri May 26, 2017 6:52 pm

I am reluctantly selling my Jan 1974 Z1-A. It was imported from Minnesota in 2007 and has been sympathetically restored using many original parts , which is why I chose this one after looking at quite a few. With this in mind date codes on the front disc, switches, carbs, swinging arm and torque arm are all correct. They even lifted the original stickers and reapplied them. I have the original US title, V5 is in my name and it was mot'd today so mot till June 2018. Tax class historic. Frame no: Z1F-3494x and engine Z1E-3496x Unfortunately the engine wasn't restored to the same standard as the bike so I ended up rebuilding the engine 750 miles ago, so still running in. I put in new rings (standard bores),valve stem seals, clutch bearing and bushing and assorted seals. Valve timing corrected and carbs rejetted correctly. Still running in but it runs perfectly (and sounds great) I have installed a Dyna ignition and PMC regulate/rectifier in the interest of reliability but still have the original parts. It also has the owners handbook ,warranty book, 2 keys ( one with original fob) and original toolkit complete with stamped allen key and feeler gauge! Also original Kawasaki workshop manual (with 74 supplement) I am no expert but it is pretty much as it should be. It is not concours but then it is not concours price either, so if you want a bike you can ride on a sunny Saturday and show on a Sunday this may be the bike for you. I want £12750 which seems to be the cheaper end of the market and is pretty much covers what it cost me and what I have spent on it. For more pics or more info or to view please PM me.
