And so the spending continues ...

No the new Z900 sprocket doesn't fit ... why would it FFS

The sprocket was a 530 ... I'm beginning to suspect that the wheel is off a Z650

Paid eleventy billion pounds to B and C to make one to fit

Doubtless when I try and fit it to the bike another raft of problems will show up

Just as a matter of interest - did you have the original rear wheel, what was wrong with it?

I'm a big boy Mark - it was my decision to carry on pursuing the the Nirvana of the wire wheels. Real 900 hubs seem to be as rare as rocking horse shit! The amount of time and money I have thrown at this bloody wheel, I'd have been cheaper buying a whole bike to get the wheel

Yes my bike is complete with a full compliment of wheels, which are actually very desirable Lesters, but I wanted at least one of my bikes to have spoked wheels.

Enjoyed reading this thread.

Off to look at some lathes now!

Very little room but seems I need to make a few spacers and bored of waiting on friends

Wheel looks great by the way!

I saw a pretty little doctor in Thailand once, she had to examine my testicles, she said "don't worry, getting an erection is normal", I said "I haven't got an erection", she replied....

"No, but I have"

SO the hub will be OK I just need to dig around and find some bearings and spin up some spacers on the lathing machine. I can't lace up the rims til I've got some bearings :)

I was just gunna say.... give the I/D & O/D to a bearing supplier or factor & ask for sealed C-3,s..... but you already -All over it aye ! Cheers Lee.
