Z1A streetfighter build 2019
My winter 2019 build finally taking shape. Engine arrived (thanks Duane) and the frame is away being modified to take a Bandit 1200 swingarm, laid down shock mounts, bracing and rear footrest mounts. Simon will also cut off and plate the mono shock mount. The Swingarm mounts and top-shock mounts were supplied by Dave Solomon if any if you want some. Onwards and upward best get stuck into stripping the engine and see if I need to send any parts off to the genius Buzzard to fettle.

Good stuff Padders,
We're long overdue for a good modified project to follow.

Mono shock mount taken off and plated. This always bugged me on my old Zed. Rear footrest mounts fitted and a Stainless chainguard completed.

I am impressed you can get a decent cup of tea in Belgium
Re: Z1A streetfighter build 2019
Hi Zedhead
there's more to get than a decent cup of tea in Belgium! Think about the chocolats, the fries, the mayonaise,...
and all the other things...oh and don't forget the beer, and I mean REAL beer, hundreds of brands, and coffee, real good coffee! Come on and pay us a visit, you'll be amazed!

Philippe,
I do enjoy a nice drop of Stella, from time to time.

Head off in vgc but the reason for the seized engine is clear now.
Will continue the strip bottom up then leave for a couple of weeks to soak

Looking tasty so far and I like the repositioning of the rear shock top mounts - when done, I think it makes 'moded' bikes look far better
