Clock mounting rubbers
I have just removed my clocks for a refurb and was greeted by this...
Missing bulbs (thought it was a bit dim on evening rides home). Extra foam of varying densities.
The amount of botched crap I have uncovered on something that looks ok on face-value is astounding!
My question is; which rubber mounts are correct for a Z1000A2 - Saisei and Z-power both have two types!?

Thanks, but just below there are these...

What's the difference between a meter mounting damper set and a clock bracket mounting set?

Re: Clock mounting rubbers
one set mounts the complete bracket to the bike, the other set mounts the individual gauges to the bracket
the link Z1Bman listed mounts the gauges to the bracket
the one you posted mounts the complete bracket assy to the bike

I have used the Cybike clock mount rubbers and they fit A1
If you are not powder coating the bracket i would leave the foam as it is

Cheers Cas, I plan to get a set from Dave although the foam is in a bad way and disintegrating rapidly with every touch. Was wondering if it might be worth cutting out some correct shapes from 'funky foam' and resticking?

One of the guys on here did some from sticky back foam for me I photo copied them as templates so print this full size a4 and use them as a template.
Re: Clock mounting rubbers
Many thanks for that, Ive gone and bought some 5mm sticky back foam from Ebay, a 10mm hole punch and a scalpel today- total around £15. You'd think there would be a specific part what with all the Zed specialists out there these days!

I'd appreciate some advice as I'm doing this job on my Z1000A1. Are the steel dowels supposed to bottom out when the clocks are tightened up?
Thanks Roger
