Bottom camchain roller
Hi all, anybody know if the bottom camchain rubber roller thingy should have sideways play? I presume not and it’s just fooked??

Re: Bottom camchain roller
Sideways movement is normal as it's narrower than the casting it sits in and the camchain running on it is the only thing that keeps it central..
They don't have a bearing, just a plain steel bush that doesn't usually separate from the rubber like the idler sprockets do.
If the barrel is off i'd replace it anyway if it's old as the rubber goes rock hard and visually you know they are worn out when they go all knotchy and start to resemble a large 50p piece .
