If it's the same as the US model CMSNL have them in stock for €20, Rob. It's also apparently the same part number as a GPz550D1.

Which one of the two master cylinders do you have? The rectangular one which looks to be in proportion or the rectangular one that looks like it needed to be about an inch shorter for length.

The large rectangular one, with the push in brake switch rather than the screw on brake switch, the pivot point of the brake lever is about 1cm

I've got a complete master cylinder you can have with lever, I just need to get a double banjo bolt for the 1200 Bandit one I'm replacing it with.

Julian, thanks for the offer, but i have completely restored this one now with a new piston. Idle hands and all that. Shame not to use it. What thread do you need as I might have a bolt.

Dunno what thread it is, but it's different to the thread on a big square Z master cylinder, same thread as an FZ750 though.

I have these two alternatives. The black one is the smaller rectangular cyliner and the silver one is the elongated J1 style.
Any good?

Al, I think it might be the silver one, if the pivot is about 1cm, the other type is much wider.

Oh dear oh dear that is the expensive one :D :D
The silver one comes from the master cylinder pictured. You will know which one it is if youre master looks like that one because its fits no other and nothing else fits that master cylinder as far as i am aware.

No surprise with it being an weird one, looks like the B1 had lots of different parts fitted compared to the z1000j/r. Superficially they look the same, but I am finding more and more differences. Also different geograpical areas had diferences, lucky I have a parts manual now for it, that really helps with identification.

Hi Robw
the large rectangular one looks a lot like the one of a Z1000 ST... if it is you can try to find the ST lever. The part number is 460921004.
It's not the same lever as the one used on the MK2. The place of the pivot bolt hole is different.
Good luck with it.

The blade at the pivot point is 10mm on the silver one that i have. Unlike what i said above it is the same part number as the E1/2 ST for the J1 by part number listed on CMSNL. The identical looking one listed on CMSNL for the B1 which is a different number is probably because its black on the B1!!! Maybe.
They are listed new on ebay (repro parts) for as little as £5.99.

Which master cylinder do you have and what are you looking to get? If you need a black one,.. CMSNL have them listed for 17 Funny money (dont have the symbol for Euro's on this UK keyboard) :D

Al, I have the larger style one. CMSL do have the one I am after, but I am reluctant to spend 40 euros on it (postage and tax). I will see what Julian has and look on ebay.
Cheers Rob
