Due to a change in personal circumstances i need to move my 900 on. i picked it up 2 years ago as a part started bike, since then i have done bits an bobs to it. It is a runner etc but i have not had the time to fine tune etc. it started life as a kz900c (a police bike number 3 of 250) but came to me in the guise of a z900. So to be brief it needs some badges and indicators to finish, loads of new parts (to many to mention and a lot of repo including the exhaust) as much as it pains me i need to let it go but is is more of a bitza (just being honest) z1r carbs z1000 body work/colours (i have a right hand z900 side panel) what would be a fair price or a start price on ebay. taped up the bottom of the yellow battery and i also appreciate that it is not the best time of the year to be looking at this but it is out of my hands

Hard to give an exact price given it's make up and it's not one of the 'money' Z1 models, but I'd sell the pipes separate to the bike as you'll get much of your cash back.

It looks really good it's a pity you can't finish it. It should fetch decent money as a realistic alternative to some of the overheated prices currently being asked. You'd know how much it stands you and how much you need for it on top of that, that's you best guide. If that turns out super reasonable you should shift it fairly quickly.

Re: bit of advice
Thanks Guys i know it is not correct and i have used stainless bolts etc plus the repo parts coupled to the fact it was half started when i got it, i am not after making a profit just a clawback on the money i have spent. i may stick it on ebay and see how it does

Is it UK registered? If not it puts some people off (in my experience).
I see Zed people.
Re: bit of advice
That's got to be worth £10k hasn't it?

Given it's an ex Police bike I'd doubt very much he'd get anywhere near that given 'proper' 900's aren't fetching much more. (there are several tidy A4's on Car&classic now for sub £10K). The trouble is buyers will think no matter much they spend on completing it - it'll never be a 'proper' one.
I'd sell the pipes separately and list the bike for £6K.
