Z1100STA1 UK Speedometer and Owners Handbook

#1 PostAuthor: BJ81ZED » Wed Mar 17, 2021 2:00 pm

Hi there, does anyone have a UK Z1100ST A1 speedo?? Searched online and eBay with no joy.

Maybe there is an equivalent used on a different model that I am not aware of. Want to swap the KPH one on my new German model bike for ease rather than putting stickers on the current speedo. Would keep the KPH one for originality of course.

Same question for A1 handbook, there is an A2 one on eBay but I think the difference is the hazard lights on the A1. Trying to as correct a UK one for my German model that I can

Cheers

If you're willing to uncrimp the crimp ring then you could always fit one of my gauge faces to it.
The "wine gums" jewels would first have to be removed from the OE face, then one the 0.4mm thick vinyl face has been applied, you then cut out the jewel apertures before adhering them back in.
John Browse is your first port of call though... top man indeed.

This will be functionally and physically the same as yours and a direct replacement. Should you feel the need to exceed 80 MPH ( :D ) a UK Z1000J Speedo will do the same job.

Thanks to all who replied so far. Regarding the replacement face I would prefer to keep the original one for the bike.

Interesting that it is the same as my old Z1000J, hadn't realised that, it is a long time since I looked at mine though.

I will start with a call to John Browse.

Cheers
