Brake pads

I'm looking at front and rear pads for a 1000R.
The parts manual shows two diffrent part nos. But some suppliers on the net are offering the same spurious parts for both ends. Can anyone enlighten me?? Are they diffrent thickness perhaps or is there more to it?

rear pads are thicker
