All,
See photo of the transmission cover on my A1 where it appears that the chain has been grinding away at the case and the adjacent screw head.
So, the chain and the sprockets are standard size and the bush is fitted in the seal.
Are there different length bushes? Could the bush be worn?
What’s the best way to rectify the problem without changing the chain as it’s fairly new.
Any suggestions welcome.

Re: Z1000A1 Chain Damage
Usually caused because the front sprocket has been fitted the wrong way round. It's offset slightly.

Hi Nigel,
You were absolutely right.
What a dimwit! It’s been on a number of years and I can’t even remember it having an offset, I do now.
Thanks very much.
