Kawasaki Alloy Wheels

#1 PostAuthor: r3sc » Tue Nov 23, 2021 12:39 pm

All,

I’ve just removed the wheels in the photos below from my Z1000A1 in favour of a set of spoked wheels.

I think I’d like to sell these Kawasaki wheels but to advertise them I need to know which model of bike they came from and possibly which models other than the A1 they will fit.

I’m not sure what they came from but they are 4 bolt disc mounting front and rear.

Any input would be great.

Cheers.

Hi All,

I’m not sure which bike they are from and thanks to you guys I’m building a bit of a shortlist of possibilities.

All I know is that they’re Kawasaki, they have the 4 bolt holes for discs on both wheels and the rear is 18” with the front 19”.

I’ve had them fitted on my A1.

So at the moment, they could fit,

Z1000A1
Z1000MK2
Z650 (some models)
Z1R (some models)

They are in nice original condition.

When I advertise them they will be sold with the tyres.

Cheers.

to make a positive identification you need to look at the wheel sizes that are cast on each wheel

The markings cast into the wheels are as follows,

Front J19 X MT 1.85 DOT

Rear J18 x MT 2.15 DOT.

Hope this helps.

same wheels are fitted to these models z650c3 / z1000mk11 / z1000d2 / d3. only difference is the outer wheel spacers are different/ sprocket hub / disc side spacer should also fit the z1000h fuel injection other than the colour which is gold

Considering price, If I advertise them on this forum or eBay, what would you consider a “good” price to be? I don’t know where to start as I’m not sure how desirable they are! Would eBay be the best route?

They are in great condition though and I only removed them to try and get one step nearer to originality on my A1.

Two wheel spares have some on ebay - for around £90 each for a bare wheel, (but not in as good condition as yours).
You also have the sprocket carrier with the cush rubbers must be around £50.
I'd say value is around £300.

These look like MK2 to me.
I think that the Z1R wheels have a slightly different design where the spoke meets the rim.
