Rear Fender Z1000ST

#1 PostAuthor: Philippe » Sun Dec 12, 2021 6:38 am

Hi men
I'm looking for a long rear black plastic fender for a Z1000ST (E1-E2).
If you have one, even damaged, and you want to sell it just let me know please.
I intend to use it for a restoration project next year (2022).
Thanks in advance!

Hi Adrian

thanks a lot for your message! I know you're on the outlook for me!
Unfortunately that isn't a rear fender of a Z1000ST... I think it's one of a Police bike but I'm not sure.
I see it often that parts are listed for a certain type of bike but they aren't.
People who are searching for a certain part and don't know how it should look like buy it and they're back to off.
Anyway, thanks!

@ trogg 41: the ST rear fender is not the same as the one for a Z1000MK2 or Z1R.
Just have a look at my post where I explain the differences between a Z1000ST and a MK2

Hi men
I'm putting some pictures on this item in order to explain what I'm looking for:
DSCN3648.JPG

an ST and a MK2 rear fender
The left hand one is a MK2, the right hand one an ST
DSCN3649.JPG

now from the other side.
The left hand one is an ST, the right hand one a MK2
Notice the differences between the fenders.
Thanks a lot for looking around in your stockpile of spare parts!

The seller appears to be second hand parts seller. There is a rear fender in the first picture he may sell ?

Hi Adrian

thanks a lot again!
I contacted the seller a few days ago... he wants 149 Euro for the mudguard...I think that's a lot of money for a plastic part . I replied to him and made a proposal , he didn't agree so I'm waiting. The other ST parts he's offering are very expensive too.
I know that it's hard to find one but I have my limits, even for ST parts.
I keep looking for one, at a decent price.

Have you tried this place Philippe?

There was someone else a while ago selling bits from an ST, I bought my tail fin off him but his ad has gone. I'll keep my eye out.
Failing that, if you still haven't got one when I travel to the UK next summer and you have a short one, I'll swap. Mine will never be standard so not that fussed.
Best of luck
Pete

Hi men

the search has come to an end!
Thanks to 8valveMark ! He found one for me and now it's over here and waiting to be installed.
If anyone of you should find or have one, just contact me. You can never have enough spare parts :D
