Vm26 base settings.

#1 PostAuthor: warren3200gt » Sat Feb 05, 2022 9:28 pm

Guys I've got hold of a set of Vm26 with both fuel screws under the bowl and airscrews on the side. Anyone got an idea for a base setting for each. Airscrew 1.5 turns out and fuel 1 turn out and tune from there?

Those are Suzuki GS carbs.
1-1/4 turns out for the air and 3/4 turns out for the fuel which should also work or be a good starting point for the zed.
The carbs I bored out to 29.5mm for the Z900 cafe were 26MM GS carbs and run great on similar settings.
The fuel mix screw is very sensitive and is mainly to perk up just off idle low speed running and may need leaning off slightly if fluffing occurs during prolonged low speed cruising (under 50mph in top).
