oil rings-Z1000R

#1 PostAuthor: Skid Mark » Fri Mar 11, 2022 5:41 pm

Hi again lads,
I have to change the oil ring on one of the pistons on the 1000r
Looking up the parts catalogue, there are to different nos. depending on if it is an R1 or R2, I have an R2 but curious and also want to make sure I get the correct part, any ideas what the differences would be?
Part nos. are 13024-5018 and 1324-5024 ring-set piston LL,O/S 1.00?

13024-5018 is no longer available 13024-5024 is available at cradley. as i said in your other post the pistons & rings where modified 13024-5018 is an old number the modified rings especially the oil control rings are teflon coated so if you require 1mm oversize you need 13024 5024

Talk to Cradley Heath Kawasaki - they should know the difference - they have 1324-5024 in stock.

Lads,
Thanks for the swift reply. At this stage I don't want to leave anything to chance.
I don't know how people managed before forums like this!
I would be gone bald if I couldn't bounce these type questions off you.

I suspect 1324-5024 is a replacement reference number for 1324-5024
