Am i right? Is the Z1000 engine to powerful for the Z900 frame.

No the 1000 engine is not too powerful for the 900 frame, it may be too powerful for some particular riders though.

Presumably this is the same bike that is on eBay ..... at a cheaper (£8500) price!

I see Zed people.

It's interesting that back in the day the average 17-year-old could pass a VERY simple test on a small cc bike then with no training or experience what-so-ever throw their leg over the fastest production bike on the market......... then when it all ended in tears they blamed the Bike.

Passed my test on an RD250 when I was 18 and next day went and bought a Z1000ST.
Not to be outdone, my best mate passed his test the next week and bought a CBX1000.
Did 50k miles on the ST and never crashed it.

Many were less fortunate sadly. I Couldn't afford a 'big' bike back then, which may have been a blessing as if I could have done I doubt I would be typing this post today.

Yes, my mate crashed his CBX within weeks and another mate crashed his 750 Kettle within weeks..

Re: 1977 kz1000A for sale
Yes it's a 1000 frame and I have owned an xs1100, 3x cbr1000r, 1x yam R1, 2x 996s , 851, 2x gsxr1000s ,gs750, gs1000, buel lightening amongst the other 35 bikes just for people's update on me , I don't expect it to be as nasty as my old xs1100 or as fast lol
It is on ebay for people who like to surf the web , I forgot it was on here and the price is the same as ebays , I just fancy another project bike , you guys can always ask me I don't bite or is it just a image thing ,since 1977 I cannot remember any z1000 over taking me on any of my bikes

Re: 1977 kz1000A for sale
I was waiting for someone to notice the bike has no carbs on it in the photo , they were at the time being rebuilt for me so the frame would cope well with the power of the starter
Re: 1977 kz1000A for sale
I didn’t clock that - I blame the angle of the photo! Good luck with the sale - a lovely bike for somebody!
