I use an engineers hammer and a large pin punch. How does the proper tool work?[/quote]

Interesting Al..... As I bought chrome top covers, which come complete with screw clamps, I have removed the crimped rings altogether. Upon assembly I simply retain the top covers to the main casings with the supplied screw clamps.
However, I would be very interested in having a look at this tool to see if I can replicate it, maybe they're still available at a good price.? Can you point me in the right direction please..?
Thanks, Will.

From an engineering perspective Al, I would love to see it - please get snapping

Will, I am curious to know what method you employ to make the faces - just being nosey! I'm guessing it's all a bit small to be cut and I wouldn't have thought that lasers or inkjets would give the opacity required. :??

VDUK - They are indeed laser printed onto premium quality self adhesive backed material to which I then apply a matt screen on the top.
I've done it like this to many bikes with no probs at all.
