Just a quick question for the experienced technical members:
I had my carbs on my recently purchased 1977 z1000 A1 stripped down and checked over recently and noticed that the 17.5 primary jets had o rings fitted to them where they screw into the carb body.
Looking at the parts diagram it doesn’t show o rings fitted to the primary jets.
My question is should the primary jets have o rings fitted?

Re: Z1000 A1 primary jet query
Hi, the 17.5 jet is the pilot jet and does not have an O ring - part no 92064-042. The pilot screw no 16014-018 has the O ring.

Re: Z1000 A1 primary jet query
Thanks for clarifying Speedie. The o rings didn’t look right and weren’t in the parts diagram but I’d thought I’d better check first before I removed them. You never know with these quirky old motors!
