Martin z1000
Hi from Kiwiland. Just got a project to begin. Have found a Martin Chassis kit. Brand new, never put together but 28 years old. Has been in storage and suffered from a bit of rust & dings from moving around the garage.

Hi Pete.
I had one of these, a 1983 model (Chassis No. MARTIN KC1883). I bought it from a UK company called "Cobra Road & Racing", it was an ex-race bike so it had a one-piece fibreglass tank/seat/tail unit. If yours is like this I suggest sourcing a steel/alloy tank and proper tank cover.
If you go onto eBay FR (France) and look this guy up "http://myworld.ebay.fr/georgio4_fr/" he may be able to help with whatever you require. His name is Georges Martin.... the man himself. He still has quite a bit of stock and I have the odd thing or two off him still. He speaks good english.
Also, Paul Doran has a Martin Z1000, he has too many bikes actually and I think he ought to share them with other club members
Regards, Will

I do have the original fiberglass seat/tank set-up, still gel coat. No primer and in need of finishing. No fairing but. Chassis complete with De-carbon shock, Marzoshi (?) front end, Brembo brakes and Martin cast mag wheels.
But I thought the ductail looks like a skateboard ramp, not a ski jump. Thats ok, I like the starwars styling.
