Z1100R body work price advice

#1 PostAuthor: dave cullen » Thu Feb 15, 2024 10:25 pm

This is very much a reach out, not an advert, I am asking for advice on price as I have no idea what to ask.

I have a set of Z1100R bodywork done by Racepaints including an NOS front mudguard, not the Z1000R one but the mega rare part for the 1100.

There's a set on ebay just now for £1250 but the paint scheme is non standard to say the least.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Cheers.

I have been up loft today, tank, tailpiece, side panels, fairing, screen and NOS front mudguard, must be unique buy.

I will unwrap it all tmrw and take pictures but I am thinking in region of 2 grand for the set.

I have listed a pair of incomplete original shocks and original indicators with all the fittings, grommets, washers etc.

Any views welcome

Lastly the tank, it looks clean inside, all the kit has been stored in warm for about 15 years??
It's obviously just had a dust over underneath but it looks perfectly sound.
Advice as to value would be appreciated

That looks like a great set of genuine bodywork and it's very rare to see the whole set.

I reckon it's worth £2k at least, there's some of the set on ebay, a tank for £600, bikini fairing for £450, mudguard for £435. I've not seen any side panels, or tail piece for a while, there is a rough unpainted Z1000j side panel for just over £100!

I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me will be along soon to give you a few pointers.

Stu

Cheers Paul, interesting re paintjob price, I'm not in any rush to sell, especially as my ELR will be getting advertised soon. Maybe I'll find a rich buyer who wants a spare bodywork set. :D
We all need your talent at finding parts for for bargain prices, didn't u turn up an immaculate mudguard and fairing at one point?

Good looking paintset with all the right parts, so to speak. I’m staggered as to their value, but suppose I should not be. Lovely
