Replacing Steering Head Bearings on a KZ1000 (1981) standard tapered bearings.
The lower bearing seat on the bottom fork yolke is being a ba$tard to get off the shaft after 43 years there.
Anyone got any good tips for removal or is it just the usual heat or diamond cutter on the Dremel ?
Thanks

A few spots of weld on it usually helps.

I had this issue. Was advised on here to use a chisel/sharpened old screwdriver. Just need to clean a couple of very small burrs up on the lower yoke afterwards. Worked well and removed in seconds.
With a bit more care the damage would have been far less.

I use a dremel and a cutting disc , cut 3/4 of the way thru then whack the slot with a cold chisel.Cut at an oblique angle
