A guys just dropped a 650 off to me that he's just got from DK.
He asked me just to check it runs for now.
So compression check gives very low figures a roos the board, bit of oil bumps them up a bit. Leave it over night with some magic potion in the bores and the rings have ungummed themselves and after spinning it over to clear the bores all are around 135 psi.
So next step, check for spark.
Fitted with Dyna 111, coils (as pictured) and Split fire 405D plugs ( never heard of them!). Generally the loom is a mess with no ignition switch so I've hot wired it.
Not getting a spark so need to test the Dyna module but can't find any info on how or it can be tested. Anyone point me in the direction of a test procedure?

Re: Dyna 111 how to test the module?
I had Splitfire plugs in my 1st Zeph11. A forked electrode, in effect giving me 16 sparks. This was about 1993. Apparently they are American (from what I remember) and were originally made for big American muscle cars to help get a clean burn. No idea if they made a difference or not.
Got them from the NEC. There seemed to be some good advertising for them at the time, then they disappeared....probably snake oil on a normal engine. I do remember they cost £5 a plug so £40 for the Zeph. Expensive back then.

Thanks guys, I managed to track this diagram down which once I'd checked all the connections it occurred to me the coils had no live feed. Sorted that and I had spark
Carbs cleaned, remote tank and hot wired it and it fired right up then proceeded to dump the rusty exhaust internals all over the workshop.
gotta get the broom out now.
