Hi, i'm Tony from Cumbria, Ive liked the big Zed's for a very long time but they have always been out of my price range !!! so ended up building 3 customs with Z1 bodywork and bandit engines. ive not long sold the last one i built and just picked up a rough Z1000LTD winter project, already had a standard seat and also got a Z1 after market (new) tank, looking for an 18inch mag rear wheel next, yeah i'm going for the late 70's standard look. :D

Hi Tony

welcome to the club!
It's never too late for a "happy childhood" you know :D
Congratulations with your bike, she seems to be in good shape.
Don't change too much and keep the parts you don't use.
Have fun!
Greetings from Belgium.

well it lives :) it was a bit farty and popping at first and a bit of white smoke out the right silencer :o but according to the seller it hasn't run for over 6 years, the smoke went after a while so im putting that down to sticky rings !!!! motor sounds nice and quiet though. will keep running it on and off and see what happens with the smoke. off to do a compression test while the engine is warm.
