Hi,just got a 1978 z1000 ,been of the road since 1985 with long term owner .
I will be putting in updated brakes and suspension,and a 1075 hot engine,hope to gain some knowledge on the site.

Bike pictures as i got the bike,engine bits came with it,suspension wheels and brakes I’ve been collecting.just need to get it all together.
Is there any meet ups in kent area?

Hi Peter, looks like its gona be a good looking bike. got myself a 1978 z1000 recently as well but gone down the standardish route (for now) but no doubt it'll be getting wheel and suspension upgrades in the near future

It looks like it's going to be a special bike with all the improvements you're planning.
When you're improving the suspension, braking power and the engine, don't forget to adapt (strenghten) the frame!
