Haha well I’ll be eating unicorn omelette so. Hefty price tag for a subframe though.

Not to put you on the spot Tony but you should ask yourself the question, what am I willing to pay to have a frame that is complete. What am I looking for with the frame ie. am I going for a close as possible to a factory bike or would I be happy with a bike that looks and feels like a Z1r the surface, or a restomod with a more modern feel. Am I trying to complete the bike under a budget so there’s a realistic resale afterwards.

The bike is usable as is so there’s no rush but I would like to put it back to how it should be with correct seat light mudguard and tail piece and I don’t expect to sell it any time soon I just want to get some use out of it budget wise everything is so expensive so I will just have to wait and see what comes up

Thats good news, then if you are enjoying it as is then good to go and play the long game, unfortunately any part that is either off or could be off a Z1r is near 150% over another part. Its like the word Z1r give the part near legend status. There are a quite a few unique parts but they are rare on the ground. By the way the rear light mount on the Z1000st is fairly similar to the Z1r, the rear cowl mounts are different but can be modified to suit the Z1r. Love to see a pic of your bike.

True! I have the makings of four Z1R bikes, from a factory finish , factory.ish, street and bulldock. By the time im done i could have bought a secondhand Lambo.

I’d rather have the z1rs than the Lamborghini bet there’s not that much difference in price.

Looks like its missing the front seat brackets and that exhaust mount/rear peg looks like its off an Ltd. You have some original bodywork for it in the backround?
