z1 Satin Black Bits

Hi
I'm getting some bit of my bike powered coated.

On a 1973 Z1, what bits are satin black?

The headlamp bowl, front wheel hub, top yoke? any others.

Is the headlamp bowl not the same as the clock covers, gloss black?

Davy,

The headlamp bowl was satin when removed.

I am not sure if that is correct

Davy are you sure about the head light shell?Had a look at that original Z1 that sold in the states last year and its has a satin finish.

IT SHOULD BE SATIN BLACK :lol: :lol: :lol: never seen a gloss headlight on any old zed/triple but hey ho you are suppose to be the early zed specialist on here :rir :yar :clap :clap

The one on mine is a gloss original finish??Just like the clock covers.

Davy,
You are right about the glossier finish on the early headlamp shells....two of my early Z1s have them as well. I wouldn't say it was an out and out gloss finish...but a lot shinier than satin. The headlamp on my Z1B though does have a satin finish.
