fer
Jeez Fer
Lighten up! it was only a question!
I can't understand why it causes such a problem to ask questions.
So far I have learned that if a rally or meet is set up properly there is a chance of the club supplying trophies banners etc
Fer does merchandising (and a side line in anger
)
minutes are published in the magazine.
Pauly coordinates events to try prevent possible clashes
Oh and I am not as observant as I thought I was
None of this I knew before I asked!

let's not forget this is a Club where we are here to enjoy the bike's and meet like minded owner's
we don't need this anal examination of the Club finances and we certainly don't need politic's here and that's where this is going
this Club has been run very well by Jerry and co up to now
so We are having a meet up at stafford to discuss Club issue's and that's all

way too many Zeds
That`s absolutely fine by me and I expect some others on here !
I notice people being defensive and I don`t understand why ?
Questions were asked because of a lack of clarity and that is all.
New members have no explanation of the workings of the club. It doesn`t mean that they want to do anything other than understand !
I go to dozens of AGM`s, Annual Meetings, Executive Meetings and Management Commitee Meetings throughout the year and I (and some others here) just want to understand the process of the club !
If, when I receive my membership details, these points are included as an explanation then I will understand !
Look guys, if you are going to call it an AGM then there is a prescribed process. If it is just a discussion of future plans for the club by the "Top Brass" then that is another !

This is what I was trying to say...no wind up...no trouble causing..I want to understand how things work rather than run off at the mouth and not know what I am talking about. I want to be part of the club and add to it.
Its hard to do if you don't know the processes etc
I mean, decisions in the past are made for good reasons, for us newer members you have to understand that we don't know the history etc

the point being made is we try to keep Club business to a minimum
it gives us for time to enjoy the night out
when I hear talk of minutes of meeting's and account's I think not again I heard all that crap in the Ford Rs club
hence I am no longer a member
anyone is free to ask any question they like here and I am sure it will be responded to

Gents, finances should be discussed at AGMs. The Club needs to decide in what direction it wants to go and what resourses to assign. Minutes should also be issued for those not in attendance and so they can be formally approved. If people want to go to the AGM to voice their opinion on the running of the club, offer their services, cast their vote, then that's the place to do it. If you don't like what's in the approved minutes then go to the next AGM and have your say. The minutes are not there to protect the club but the people involved, good minutes keep everything in the open so there is no undercurrent of dissension.
Personally, I don't invest lots of money only my subs and I think it is well worth that for the people I have met.
You get out of it what you put in, if your membership card gets lost in the post all you have to do is pick up the phone and say I haven't received my bits yet, dead easy, no big song and dance.
Write something for the mag then you will get one more often. Everyone who "runs" this club does so as a volunteer putting their own time and usually money into it and I am sure would relish the opportunity to allow someone else to do something.
If you want to change something do it constructively, there is no "code of silence" as to when the AGM is, it is the same time as it always is.

Thanks Paul, but it would help you added the date of the Saturday, the venue and the time members can attend.
I cannot understand the reactions I am getting to trying to find out about this.
I keep reading the club is about its members miniumum of rules, its only as good as the members make with participation etc When you try and take an interest you are met over sensitivity, defensive officials and obstruction.
I am not trying to be critical of how things are run or of the people who put in their own time and money in addition to their subs. just to see if I can help and be part of something I enjoy
Where is the common sense and adult behaviour we keep hearing about??
