Rally Germany

#1 PostAuthor: tlc » Sun Oct 19, 2008 6:22 pm

I`m interested in doing a Rally in Germany.

I have no idea when ? (although Bunny said somethig about August) or where ?

I do speak a little German and absolutely love the place and the people !

If anyone is interested or has any details could they let me know !

I don`t mind organising this but of course must ask the Events Coordinator for permission

I quite fancy doing that, I reckon it would be good to attend one of our European pals rallys. I can't speak any foreign lingo though so nobody would be able to understand me, but that's nothing new, I have the same problem here, i'm good at signing though. :)

I have looked on the Z Club of Germany Website and the Rally they are hosting is in Zytanien near Hannover on the 17th - 19th July, 2009.

I`ve written to Jorg to ask him for details.

Hannover is in the North of Germany and is easily accessed from any of the Channel ports and once you cross Belgium and Holland and enter Germany it is another two or three hours from there. I reckon on 400 miles from Dunkerque !

A very long way I know but I have read that these are usually very big events with free camping and very cheap beer :D

I had a reply from Jorg and he said he will be delighted to see us. The very words he used in excellent English.

He said we can look at their website for pictures of previous events.

Chris
Hi there, this sounds like fun. I regularly work in Germany and having worked at BMW a while back and speak some German.

My experience is that most Germans will speak better English than we can German.

Have checked the dates for the Hannover Z-Treffen, 17th - 19th July 2009

It is before the Shool hols so I should be able to make it too.

The seat of my '72 Zed gets a bit hard after a hundred or so miles tho.

Regards

Simon
pm me for my phone no. so we can chat about this.
Don't ask me, I just got here myself!

Simon, did you work for BM in Munich ? My brother has been working there as a designer for the last 12 years. Maybe you know him.
