Davey, it must have left the factory without the carbs!!!!!!

It sure looks a good genuine base to start from, love to make an offer myself but i think the Mrs would leave me!

That`s just crying out for the Chris Smith treatment.
Sympathetic refresh I think is the word and as you say they don`t come much more refreshing than that :lol:

It would be a shame to touch this bike, it would ruin it, it's better left like this, The engine has just been totally rebuilt with all genuine Kawasaki parts so it just to be fired up for the first time this saturday when Iain the engine builder fits the carbs and does his magic, So theres o miles on that fresh engine as yet..

Now to me that's as close to original as it gets, to restore that would be a real shame as it would no longer be original and never would be again.

well done paul i new all along that davy was an internet biker and would never ride/restore there are talkers/restores/riders/enthuiasts on here seems like davy was a talker :shock: :shock:

that's correct I intend to leave it as it is and take it to a few show's to show the so called anorak's and expert restorer's what an original Z1 is
