Finished Product Pics
Hey all, well got a chance to look at bike today, does'nt seem too bad, it looks like the the forks did just twist in the yokes, all looks straight now anyway but I could'nt do a whole lot cos my knee is all swelled up from the fall.
I did get a to check out the brakes tho, the r/h caliper seems fine, the pot moves nice an free and the caliper floats fine, the l/h one however is solid, the piston moves out but won't budge to go back, so I will fully strip it.
Anyway here are some pics of the finished bike ( well are they ever really finished
) Hope these show up okay.

I know they look like they're stretched but they're not, that's the angle of the stainless end fittings, there is no tension on the lines at all, they are a Bandit12 set up and the fit is spot on, but I know it can look funny.

Think Taffus means that the M/Cylinder has a larger capacity than the single version but sometimes the single is the same. Is on the Thou` anyway.
I too would do something about the brake lines. I reckon they need the usual bow rather than being straight !
Sorry to hear about your maiden disaster, hope the knee recovers

Regulator check
Well, I stuck in the freshly charged battery today, bike fired up no bother.
First I hooked up my own regulator and cotinued to do the req'd test, set the bike at about 4000rpm and checked the voltage across the terminals, I know from posts on here that it should read at the 14.5 mark but in the kawasaki service manuals I have it says 15-16 volts is the range it should read, anyway mine was reading just over 16v and rose to over 17v when I upped the revs, so going by either range it's goosed
, am I right
as far as I know it should not go up.
Stuck in the back-up regulator, exact same story, same type of readings.
I also did the out of circuit tests on both regulators with them on the bench and the readings were spot on according to the manual.
Looks like a new combo unit is the only option
, but I just wanted some confirmation or opinions of my findings in case there maybe something else.
My reason for doing the checks was that my battery (new) went dead on me twice and went in with full charge.
Cheer in advance
