Just to prove this hasn't stalled completely here are a few more pics.
Talking about the length of the thread it's not that long - I dug out the paperwork for the wheels earlier just out of interest - I bought those in May '01.... doesn't time just fly past when you're trying to pull things together, on that scale this is flying along now. I haven't documented any of the blind alleys we've been down, that could fill a book.
A certain amount of dry building going on here - in the next fortnight I hope to get the spacers made for the front end, get the wheel in properly then get disc offset measured using these discs which I pulled off the 1000R last night and once that's all sorted I can get a proper set for this. Then it will be a roller...
Got a plan for the headlight brackets and the back hub needs machined to move the rear sprocket in, I finally get the offset engine sprocket fron Debben's today so that can now move forward too. Then it's odds and ends of fabrication left, some bits need modified others need changing but we're really going to be done for November's Z1 OC stand at the NI Classic Bike Show....
famous last words.
Luckily most of the money's already been spent as things are really tightening up out here! If I was doing it now I wouldn't be.
