Avon Park RWYB this weekend.
It seems quite a few of the Kawasaki Triples club will be going to Avon park this weekend (13th - 14th June) for RWYB, i`m hoping to get there on my Z1R for it`s first outing this year, anyone else going?
I`m aiming for Sat but not 100% which day yet, be good to have some Zeds vs Triples action with a few more Zeds there.

Avon Park (Shaky) report; Saturday 14th June 2009
Forecast rain~blistering heat instead.
The tripples club were the main event but was also attended by several other assorted bikes and riders.
Fatty z1Rbuckle put in a best personal time of 10.2 seconds twice and ten point three's throughout the rest of the day.
He managed to see off the advances of a GSXR750, Hyabusa, GSXR1400 nitrous, and a couple of tripples to record the fastest time for a bike for the day (possibly)
Pretty fair for a naturally aspirated 1327 running pump petrol.
Only two tenths out of the nines so if he'll just stop doing the life saver look before pulling away he should get there soonish!!
Here she is in action
Tony Perry and his partner / wife rode all throughout the day returning time after time on their Z's and entertaining the crowds with their resilience and wheelies.
Tony didnt seem to manage one launch without a wheelie but not really surprising on a more or less standard chassis but with 1399cc and fat carbs.
As mentioned; the tripples club had around twelve / fifteen bikes out and heres a couple of them.
Sorry dont know names but you may recognise yourselves.
Heres FattyZ1R vs one of the tripples.
This is Fatty and Rick Brett going at it like a couple with something to prove.
Fatty was sideways off the line for the first twenty yards and Bretty missed a gear.
Not saying who won.
No apologies for the short shaky, out of focus clips.
Its a sh!t job.
NB. Trippples owners; Rick has a copy of these and other pairings for the day on his laptop.

The very same race from my onboard camera - And YES, I did lose the race but was in no way disgraced - a VERY tired motor and giving away a cylinder and 500cc saw me lose by a head - GREAT fun!!!

Excellent Rick.
Four pipes rule, anything else is second best.
It was a cracking day, well chuffed to beat my best time and get to race along side the legend that is Rick 'Betty' Brett! Good race Rick, and shame so many of the triples were suffering engine damage.
Big thanks to Al (Zorded) for all his help and non stop videoing all day, almost worth the sunburn! I rewarded him though by playing a Jake Thackray CD on the way back, which he loved.

Would someone do me a favour and let me know if they can see these clips without shuddering/pausing or if it appears that there are missing frames etc etc.
Been having trouble loading onto photobucket and now Youtube uploads seem to be doing it as well.
Thanks.

I wasnt the only one suffereing from heat stroke. This was the guy in the van next to us.
The bike on the other side also succumbed with a very unusual burn in his piston which got everyone foxed.
It was a peculiar 'V' shaped slot of burning not really melting, widening out to the rings and undercutting them from behind!!
