I'm not a member of VJMC but a mate who is said all they do is ask their most prominent member and is he says yes, they say yes and issue the dock below.
Any VJMC members here like to confirm or deny that?

Re stamped stolen bike.
Who the hell would rub back a fresh powdered frame finish just to show the number clearly.
Obviously been rubbed back to get rid of the original numbers and re stamped for re reg.

And if you had those pics and they were legit, why wouldn't you put them on your ebay listing.

So much for the VJMC!
Re: 1000 engine and frame no's
i was under the impression that the new ruling on dating certificates was that only the importer or manufacturer could issue dating certificates. how the vjmc have come to the conclusion that this bike is a z1000a2 is beyond belief

Just noticed on the VJMC doc the signature. Geoff Ward. Could be read as Geof Fraud.

Re: 1000 engine and frame no's
I know Geoff he was very helpful to me a few years ago. I'm sure he was acting in good faith but there is a serious question mark over the source of his information, I have contacted him for a comment.
Another thing I just noticed looking at my A1 - the Kawasaki engine numbers had no dash after the E? Mine doesn't, this one has.
For that money you'd think they'd have thrown in a centre stand spring...
The seller has zero Seeker Feedback just 1000+ as a buyer in the last 12 months...? The way the ad was written "selling for a customer" you'd think it was a trader but with no selling feedback?

Re: 1000 engine and frame no's
This is the info i was given, don't know if its a story or true so cant comment on that.
Apparently he got the bike is 2016. He then gave it too the guy you talk too if you call the number on the listing to restore it. It is apparently the owners sons account it is listed on. The owner has had recent heart problems and is no longer fit enough to ride it. The restorer is stilled owed money for his work and will take his fee from the sale with the remainder going to the owner.
I'd be very interested to hear what VJMC Geoff's comments are and where the z1000a2 info came from.

Re: 1000 engine and frame no's
if this is the bike it is in z1000a2 livery perhaps this is how the vjmc have come to the conclusion that its a z1000a2 because no way do the frame or engine no come anywhere near to what they should be for an a2
