Brass Tube

#1 PostAuthor: Wayne1960 » Sun Sep 27, 2020 2:00 pm

I am looking for the brass tube that fits at the base of the carb Mikuni VM26ss

I think it's the pick up pick up for the choke.

I notice one of mine being a good 6mm shorter than the rest

With the float bowl off its the fixed tube sits about 30mm above the body and has small airways.

I think it simply pushes in so it should pull out if anyone can help?
Just purchased a 1976 UK Z900 A4 for renovation. Wish me luck.

Just type in brass tube, isn't there a jet pressed into the bottom of the tube as well, type in brass tube of the right diameter you will need the inside diameter as well, send me the outside measurement, if it is the same as the overflow tube i have some as i made overflows to replace broken ones.

The brass tubes have been known to split causing problems.

An easier repair option may be to locate a small diameter plastic pipe and slide that over the brass tube?

The tube isn't broke it's just shorter than the rest.
He needs a stock length one around 30mm.

Hi Kev

The tube has very small holes in it so not just a tube.
