The bike looks like it is coming up quite well. I have never liked powdercoat but that doesn't look to bad.
At the risk of incurring more abuse from angry people I have to say those instruments look bloody awful. From previous glowing comments by members about the rebuilds done by Mr. Rivett I did expect something closer to an original looking finish.
Okay, fire away...

RGH wrote:looks like she'll come up tops, what process and paint did you use on calipers and m/cylinder? thanks Hench
Hi Hench,
I used various wire wheel's to remove old paint etc and cleaned them off with acetone, then warmed up calliper/master cyld and paint can's before spraying.
The paint i used was "plasti-kote" project paint primer super and satin super.
I dont know how hard wearing it will be but it gave a good finish

The powder coating is ok but i still wish i'd painted it.
As far as the clock's i can't comment on the finish, this being my first rebuild i'v never had first hand experience with original bits, all i have done is look at books

Thank's for the tip.

This is what i used:

and the paint has'nt fallen off
