The bike looks like it is coming up quite well. I have never liked powdercoat but that doesn't look to bad.
At the risk of incurring more abuse from angry people I have to say those instruments look bloody awful. From previous glowing comments by members about the rebuilds done by Mr. Rivett I did expect something closer to an original looking finish.
Okay, fire away... :|

Hi Hench,
I used various wire wheel's to remove old paint etc and cleaned them off with acetone, then warmed up calliper/master cyld and paint can's before spraying.
The paint i used was "plasti-kote" project paint primer super and satin super.
I dont know how hard wearing it will be but it gave a good finish :)

The powder coating is ok but i still wish i'd painted it.

As far as the clock's i can't comment on the finish, this being my first rebuild i'v never had first hand experience with original bits, all i have done is look at books  ,all i can say is they look a lot better than when i gave them to Chris :)

That's looking really good Ludders. May I suggest that you use some Dot 5.1 brake fluid, rather than Dot 4, as the 5.1 doesn't have the paint stripping qualities that Dot 4 does, and should keep those calipers, master cylinder looking good.

Hi Ludders

Looks like its nearly there. Looking at your original pictures I like the style and shape of the exhaust. Do you have any info on its origins or what it is.

Cheers

Mick
