Front brake reservoir O ring

#1 PostAuthor: Gonzo » Thu Jun 22, 2017 4:59 pm

Is the O ring, that sits at the bottom of the front brake reservoir, available as a separate item?

I have them for the A1. Not sure if they are the same, perhaps give it a measure and let me know.

I thought the A1 had a round reservoir? If so then it probably won't fit but thanks for the reply.

I've been giving these away FOC to nice people that ask nicely.

Last one with sizes for reference.

It's not my hand - just a picture from an online site. The reservoir for the A1 is round while the A2 is more triangular so not sure if the O rings are different sizes?

Mate.
It would make sense to me that the sealing of the reservoir is via a round portion and that the shape of the reservoir is immaterial.
Since that picture shows a round o ring, actually all o rings are round, all we need is the size and Bob's yer uncle.
I have shown the size of the rings so measure and ask and I will post FOC.

That's very decent of you so I'll take one if you don't mind. As you say, the inner size of the reservoir is probably identical. I'll pm my address.

Lamentably, no. I need the smaller, Trapezoid, version. Redline, in the States (Ohio) do them...

I can return or forward the one you sent if you'd like?

It's just an O ring, they are sized by inside diameter, which you can measure from the groove and cross section which you can also measure from the groove. They come in various materials, look on E-bay and many sellers list them along with the material and what that material is good for and they are pence.
Cheers,

Mark.
