Piston sizes for a 900

#1 PostAuthor: DogsbolloxofZ1B » Wed Jan 24, 2018 9:51 pm

Does anybody know the range of aftermarket piston sets available
upto max bore size on STD liners? I may have to find another size beyond 2nd OEM oversize due to botched rebore.

Cheers Mike

900 liners will comfortably go to 70mm so will take stock 1000 pistons if you want to keep the motor standard ish.
Obviously plenty of choice around from Wiseco, MTC etc at that size..
You can go 1030 (70.5mm) and 1045cc (71mm) at a push which leaves the liners a little thin the same as taking the 1000's out to 1105.

Hi
in Germany at Scheuerlein they have 1.25 mm oversize pistons for the z900 , price is 540 Euro for the 4 pistons with piston rings.
They understand English and are very friendly.
