The only way I could fit a lathe in would be to get rid of the bike. But thanks for the advice

Here is the solution.....

Sell the bike.
Buy a lathe.
Make the spacer.
Sell the lathe.
Buy back the bike!!!

It is fairly obvious to me.

Why can you Guyz NOT see the things I can????

I'm having similar issues with going from spoke to cast. Looking at the centre spacer ( # 42010-039 ) the space looks to be around 70mm. Hard to see with a rule and shoddy eyes, The spacer I have is 86mm. I know the main reason of the spacer is to stop the bearings being crushed so would like to mill it down as accurate as possible.
Has anyone got the correct measurement for that part ??

Worth a look on here as they do parts diagrams

https://www.cmsnl.com/kawasaki_model11368/

My other idea(amazing two ideas, I Know) measure the distance between axle plates. Measure everything you have and see what discrepancy you have.

Good luck

did my spoke to cast 18 months ago, the thin tin steady'er was mankeled when bearings removed from Z1000H cast, , cost me over $100 for NOS spacer, it needs too be in good nick Nic otherwize you'll never get your axle thru. (alignment)

You're a legend thats exactly what I need RGH. You wouldn't have measured the one on the sprocket side by any chance would have you ??

My one is still straight so should be good once I machine it down.

I have a lathe and am happy to turn down to required size if you want.
I would need confirmed dims etc.

This is the wheel that used to be in my A1 and all the relevant spacers in the order they fitted - axle nut could be either end probably wrong way round here but spacers are right caliper went outside last chrome spacer

42036-033

Cheers

Thanks for the offer Will, love to come up there for a holiday sometime but I have access to a lathe down here in Aus :D :D

Chris you actually have the axle nut at the right end if the parts diagram is anything to go by. There is one sleeve in the sprocket carrier that I need measurements for re the above part number.

That’s the one pictured in the middle of the axle - goes inside the sprocket carrier but it’s 42036-024 on the parts diagram for the A1 - to the best of my knowledge the spacers on mine are the same ones that came out of the spoked wheels.

I put alloy wheels onto my A1, the only spacer that was different was the one in the picture that’s nearest the nut, it’s a bit smaller, also needed a different sprocket carrier for alloy wheels. I can’t give you the measurements at the moment I can’t get access to my bike at the moment. Sean.

+1 the only one that is different is the sleeve / coupler - Sproket side.

sorry don't have that measurement for 42036-033

if your stuck, you can drop in sometime and l'll drop my wheel out so you can size up all the collars spaces, only takes a few minutes.
