GPz1100B2 Fuel Pipe.

#1 PostAuthor: BAFF1960 » Mon Jan 24, 2022 11:54 am

Hi.

Whilst putting my B2 back together noticed that the short moulded fuel feed pipe from the filter to pump had a split in it. Looking for a replacement or an alternative I can adapt. Pt No. 92059-1165.

This part is no longer available.I could do with one too,it's a real oddball part as it's different diameter at each end and the curves are pretty sharp.I'll be interested to know if anyone has made a good alternative too. Good Luck !

I think if it were me, I would try sleeving it with fuel proof heat shrink whilst looking for a replacement.
These guys do all kinds of pre moulded shapes and straight fuel proof heatshrink.

Or run a piece of braided pipe so it doesn't kink.

there's someone on the 750turbo forum used a H**** civic part off the cooling system though so don't know if it will stand up to the fuel for long

As a temp solution til something more permanent comes along; something like the one on the G1 which is similar but made in two parts with a ferrule joiner in between.

I had a similar issue with the A1 had 2 pieces of the different pipe and then joined them using a reducer, not pretty but it worked and is out of sight

I wonder how much of a chore it would be to get a batch of these made?
Has anyone done anything like this before ?

Hi.
Came up with a solution for or the pump supply pipe replacement. Nothing like original but perfectly acceptable.
Space is a bit tight there so looked for some thing short to fit in that would step up from 8mm to 10. Acquired a plastic 90 degree elbow but that was bit long and plastic for my liking.
Ended buying a pair 8 and 10mm stumpy brass 90 degree fittings and adapted/soldered them together to make the very short step up. See pics. [ I know the filters upside down. ] Easy fix at a cost of a tenner.
