Dear members
Just rebuilding the top end of my 76 Z1000 A1
I've bought new guides and wheels for the camchain
But am planning on just using the same tensioner
Should I recondition the tensioner unit?
Thanks for any thoughts on this
Best
David

Re: Camchain tensioner - refurbish
Not much you can do with the tensioner unless you can find NOS parts.
It's either ok or it isnt.
If it's faulty you can convert them to manual operation that won't back off or fit an APE type manaul if you aren't bothered about original looks.

Thanks for your reply - Re: tensioner
OK - It's the original unit - but works ok.
Will refit then.
Thanks again for your advice
